Laszlo Kuti was born in Hungary 1982. He grew up in a musical family, and was already playing the clarinet as a child in the wind ensemble in his hometown. After his initial studies in Hungary, he went to the Music University in Graz and started studying with Bela Kovacs and later with Gerald Pachinger.

He is the winner of the Concertino Praga International Music Competition. As a young soloist he performed in Prague, Vienna, Graz and in Japan. After graduating from university he became Principal Clarinet of the newly founded Hyogo Performing Arts Center Symphony Orchestra in 2005. Three years later, he left the orchestra for a position with the Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and studied with Wenzel Fuchs.

Since 2009, he has held the position of Principal Clarinet of the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra and has also performed with the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to his work in the orchestra he is a clarinet tutor in the Academy of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in Ossiach.
